Ottoman period (1839 - 1861)

Variously stamped with the tughra of "Sultan Abdulmecid"
The ewer with splayed foot, S-scroll handle and hinged lid with floral garlands and leaves. This type of decoration is observed in the second half of 19th century. Central figures on the body can be named as the symbols of the Ottoman Band "Mizika-i Humayun", containing musical instruments.

OTTOMAN ENAMELED PANEL

It is an highly important piece, made specially for the 25th anniversary of ascend of Sultan Abdulhamit II to throne. (1876 - 1909) It is a gilt wood framed panel, decorated with enamels. In the middle the tughra of Sultan Abdulhamit II is covered with blue enamel and middle part is covered with gold in the technique of beaten copper (tombak). Below it is written "God bless our Sultan" in Ottoman language. Upper parts are decorated with crescents and geometric symbols all covered with dark red, green and yellow enamel. On the top, the Ottoman Coat of Arms is depicted. It reflects the richness of ornamentation in Ottoman period. It goes for record up to 96.000$
